Two teachers, Mr. Nevin Werner of Roosevelt School, and Ms. AnneMarie Spiegel of Cherry Hill School explain the process. Ms. Spiegel notes that, "We do all types of assessments to inform our instruction. These assessments help us to help our students. Please enjoy this video about why we do assessments."

Parent Night Out!
The students of Building Bridges and Building Connections participated in a game night full of fun. Administrators, teachers, support staff, specialists and ABA instructional assistants volunteered their evening to foster an enjoyable night for both students and parents. Parents dropped off their child off at New Bridge Center and enjoyed a night out, while the students played anything from knock hockey, to tic tac toe, to Wii sports and Twister. The night concluded with a close game of musical chairs and an energetic dance party.
A grateful parent wrote the following to all the administrators, teachers and staff that volunteered their time to make this night happen.
"I wanted to thank you and all the teachers who volunteered last night! It was much appreciated. Especially, knowing that you took time away from your families to give us parents a break... I cannot say thank you enough. Once again it proves that our kids are in a very special school/place! Please share with everyone who helped last evening".
One student shared “I felt so happy. I liked to play with the games because the games are fun. I liked playing with my friends and teachers. My favorite part was dancing to the song “Happy.”
Rosemary Kuruc, our Supervisor of Special Services said, “The students were so actively engaged and had spontaneous play. Adult interaction was minimal. It was wonderful to sit back and watch the children enjoy themselves.
The night was a success and the staff of Building Bridges and Building Connections have two more parent nights out planned for the rest of the year. Everyone is looking forward to it!
